NTA NEET UG Exam 2024: Result – Preparation Tips & Eligibility Criteria for NEET
National Testing Agency conducted NEET UG 2024 examination online mode on 5 May 2024. NEET UG Result (revised) was published on July 26, 2024. Based on the result counselling will start from 14 August 2024 for AIQ seats in government colleges.
National Testing Agency (NTA)
The National Testing Agency (NTA) was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development under the Government of India. NTA is mainly focused to organise a successful test to screen for admissions and also to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the tests. Apart from that, NTA also initiates high quality research about the candidate’s educational, professional, and testing systems in order to uncover the knowledge systems deficiencies. NEET PG 2024 Eligibility
Eligible students interested in applying for the NEET PG Exam for which, it’s important to keep in mind NEET PG 2024 Eligibility Criteria.
- Candidates are required to have a valid MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS pass certificate recognized under the NMC Act (2019) or the former Indian Medical Council Act (1956).
- They should have a permanent/provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification, issued by NMC/MCI/State MC.
- Candidates need to have completed 1 year of clinical internship OR would be expected to complete it by 31st July 2024. Candidates are required to bring the original Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship completion certificate at the time of counseling/admission.
NEET UG 2024 Eligibility
Candidates can apply for the various undergraduate medical programs of India’s leading public and private medical colleges. For this purpose, however, you must remember the important points regarding NEET UG 2024 Eligibility Criteria.
- NEET is mandatory for both Indian and overseas candidates seeking admission to medical colleges in India.
- For General Category and SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates, the minimum age should be 17 years as per the year of completion of the admission period.
- The upper age limit 25 years for General candidates and 30 years for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates has now been removed/scrapped.
- Candidates who have completed their Class 12th are eligible for NEET. This also applies to those who have passed Class 12th and have appeared or appearing in the “improvement exam”. The improved scores need to be shown.
- Candidates appearing for their board exams in 2024 can also apply for NEET UG 2024.
- Candidates are eligible if they have achieved the following minimum scores in PCB subjects in their 10+2., 50% for General category, 45% for Physically Handicapped and 40% for SC, ST, OBC, and Physically Handicapped these categories.
NEET UG Application Process 2024
The candidates who will appear for NEET 2024 exam must check their eligibility in NEET 2024 exam before filling up the online application form. Once that is done, interested candidates should do the below steps.
- First of all, The Candidate needs to provide the complete details as demanded by the permanent address such as pin number, email id and mobile no. Note that contact numbers and e-mail id should be of the candidate or parent only.
- Once this is done, the candidates are required to fill their Codes [02 to 07] on the column provided for the Qualifying Examination.
- Those who are in the Class XII at present will have to choose their qualifying code as Code 01.
NOTE: The application form must be filled online. Other medium of registration are not acceptable and will be disqualified. Candidates are advised to keep at least four copies of the confirmation page and the fee payment receipt for future reference.

NEET 2024 Document Required at Exam
Candidates who have applied for NEET exam must bring the following documents on the examination day at the Centre. You have to bring these documents otherwise candidates are not allowed to sit in the examination.
- A printed copy of the Admit Card along with passport-sized photograph.
- A Passport Size Photo for NEET 2024 exam.
- A Post Card Size (4″ X 6″) Color Photograph with a white background must be pasted on Admit Card.
- One of the following documents as a Photo ID (PAN card/Driver License/ Voter ID/Passport/Aadhar Card/other valid photo ID issued by the Government)
- Those candidates who applied for the relaxation under the PWD category are required to bring a valid PWD certificate from the Competent Authority.
NEET UG Result 2024
NEET 2024 Result will be announced soon but cutoffs for this year are still expected to be higher because of the huge number of students who have appeared for the exam. Around 15-16 Lakh Students appeared for NEET UG Exam 2024. These students faced a lot of issues due to the changed pattern earlier in 2024, just two months before the exam. However, the exam was not postponed even after incessant demands by the students.

Ques 1: Is NEET Exam conducted twice a year?
Answer: No, the NEET exam is conducted only once a year. Candidates can apply to secure admission in top MBBS colleges in India.
Ques 2: Why NEET Exam is required?
Answer: NEET is a mandatory requirement for pursuing MBBS in top medical colleges abroad. Students must pass this exam for admission to medical and allied courses in medical colleges in India and abroad.
